OUR HISTORY

High Achievement Always Takes Place in the Framework of Expectation!

Grace and Glory International Nursery, Primary and College; Daycare and Playgroup Schools were established on September 20th, 1999. The Schools took off at a temporary site opposite INEC office (Independent National Electoral Commission) in Osogbo, State Capital of Osun, Nigeria. The college moved to the permanent site on January 8, year 2000.

The establishment of the schools was borne out of concern for the teaming mass of boys and girls roaming the streets with no apparent direction for life. Teachers in Osun State went on strike which lasted for more than three months. That period was considered too long if untold and unimaginable damage would not be done to the lives of these youths and children.

The proprietors of the school, Pastor and Mrs John Biola Adeniran themselves being retired principals in Oyo State schools with proven records of desired result-oriented involvement in children and youth lives and activities, parents appealed to them to do something to stem the tide of these seemingly perennial evils. That was not until the Proprietors ensured at least six weeks of free coaching classes were established in two centres in Osogbo (Pepsi Cola and Okefia areas).

With persistent request and readiness of these parents to offer assistance to the Proprietors of the schools GRACE & GLORY INTERNATIONAL DAYCARE, PLAYGROUP, NURSERY, PRIMARY AND COLLEGE came into existence.

The opening ceremony was attended by dignitaries from different works of life and the schools continue to benefit from the pieces of advice given from time to time by some of them.

There were over 20 (twenty) children in KG, 2 (two) in daycare and 4 (four) in JSS class by the end of the term when the school opened on September 20, 1999.

The Board of Governors especially the chairman Chief A.O. Oyediran of Blessed Memory who was Former Chairman Civil Service Commission Osun State played significant role in ensuring the smooth running of the school.

All glory to God for the growth of the school in all facets.

Our Philosophy

Man is a tripartite being – he has the body, soul and spirit. Education should be for the WHOLE MAN and address these three areas – Body, Soul and Spirit. Hence, the Motto: Academic, Moral and Spiritual Excellence. The proprietors are retired Principals with love and concern for Children and Youth who they consider to be of central and significant influence in nation building. The basis, centrality and continuity of the Schools is God who knows everyone and has the plan and blue prints for every life in the world. Every Child, therefore, is to be led to know Him and accept His ways so he/she can be whole, fulfilled and be for signs and wonders in a growing, dangerous and corrupt world that often damages lives.

The vision for the School was borne out of concern for the teaming mass of Children and Youths who roam the streets with no apparent direction for life. With persistent request from parents who desire excellence in academics and godliness for the different categories of Children, a definite step had to be taken in that direction.

It is a bold attempt to stem the tide of perennial evils attending idle hands, characterizing the large number of boys and girls of this age who are given no priority to sound education, morality and godliness. The School is actually forward looking and well comprehensive, not only for Nigerian but also international acceptance.
